Building basalt fiber rebar

BFRP Rebar is made from high strength basalt roving along with an extremely durable vinyl ester or epoxy resin by combining the pultrusion process and in-line winding and coating process for the outside surface. Which possess high tensile strength, excellent resistance to alkali and acid, durable and long lasting, and became a high performance, green, economic alternative for steel rebar used in civil engineering.

l High tensile strength. The tensile strength of BFRP is 2 times more than ordinary steel of the same size.

l Excellent corrosion resistance which can’t be surpassed by any other fiber fabric.

l Low density. The density of BFRP is just about 1/4 of the ordinary steel.

l Thermal expansion coefficient of BFRP is similar to concrete and they won’t produce high temperature stress.

l Excellent wave transparence, no shielding.

l No conductivity, no thermal conductivity.

l Can be prefabricated to standard curve and other shapes.
